  • Clinic

Dr. Daphne Scaramangas-Plumley is a board-certified rheumatologist with expertise in autoimmune and inflammatory diseases, osteoporosis and bone health, and women's health. She received her medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine, where she graduated with highest honors. She completed her internal medicine residency through Boston University at Roger Williams Medical Center in Providence, Rhode Island, before moving to Los Angeles for her rheumatology fellowship at Cedars-Sinai. During her fellowship, she distinguished herself as a thoughtful and compassionate physician and graduated with the highest commendation of the program. She joined Dr. Venuturupalli at Attune Health in 2017.

Her clinical practice encompasses the full spectrum of rheumatologic and autoimmune disease, with experience in the evaluation and management of complex and diagnostically challenging cases. She has particular expertise in osteoporosis and bone health, with an emphasis on comprehensive fracture-risk assessment, identifying factors that contribute to bone loss, and developing individualized treatment strategies for patients with osteoporosis.

She also has a strong interest in women's health and the ways in which hormonal changes throughout a woman's life can affect bone, musculoskeletal, and overall health. She is certified by The Menopause Society (formerly the North American Menopause Society) and incorporates evidence-based menopause care into her broader approach to women's health.

Her approach to patient care is comprehensive and individualized. In addition to conventional medical therapies, she values multidisciplinary care and thoughtfully incorporates complementary approaches when appropriate, with the goal of addressing the many factors that can influence autoimmune disease, musculoskeletal health, bone health, and overall well-being.

She is married to a fellow physician and lives in Los Angeles with her family. A first-generation Canadian-Greek, she is fluent in Greek. Outside of medicine, she is passionate about food—whether cooking, experimenting with new recipes, or discovering new restaurants. She also loves to travel and, above all, enjoys spending time with family and friends.
